The EST on Biomimetic Systems is a graduate program funded by the European Community. The school aims to give young motivated students research skills and strong theoretical and experimental background in the different aspects of the interdisciplincry field of biomimetic systems.
This project is an international collaboration between six groups:
  1. IMPRS on Biomimetic Systems, Potsdam, Germany (details)
  2. Niels Bohr Institute, Copenhagen, Denmark (details)
  3. Politecnico of Milano, Dept. of Bioengineering, Milano, Italy (details)
  4. CNRS and University of Toulouse, Toulouse, France (details)
  5. University of Edinburgh, School of Physics, Edinburgh, UK (details)
  6. University of Leoben, Dept. of Metal Physics, Leoben, Austria (details)
  7. University of Düsseldorf, Dept. of Physics, Düsseldorf, Germany
At present there are only few open positions for Ph.D. students. Projects and details about application procedure are described in the following pages.

Questions about the EST and its program can be addressed to Dr. Angelo Valleriani, head of the  Management  Office. Email: PMObiomimeticsystems@mpikg-golm.mpg.de
